Buses:
The bus number 31 leaves Strandgaten in the middle of the city centre, outside the Xhibition shopping centre, and from Kong Oscars gate near the railway station. It uses approximately 15 minutes, and when you exit the bus, you'll be about 200 metres from the youth hostel.

To find the bus stop from the railway station, exit the railway station through the main entrance. When looking towards the park with the water fountain (direction of the city centre) head to your right, and keep walking in this direction until you enter the street named "Kong Oscars gate". Find a bus stop (at the railway station-side of the road), and take bus no. 31-"Laegdene". Ask the bus driver to tell you when you arrive at Montana.

From Voss:
Follow E16 towards Bergen. After approximately 85 km (at Ulset), the road goes over in E39. Near Bergen, at Danmarksplass in Fjosangerveien, you'll come to a large road junction (crossroads) with traffic lights. Take left and continue along this road (Ibsensgate) until you get out on a new road (road number 585, also called "riksvei 585"). Take right, and continue approximately 1/2-1 km until you see a sign pointing to Montana. Follow the signs all the way to Montana Youth Hostel.

From the city centre:
Follow Kong Oscars gate / road 585 south. When you enter Haukeland ? the main hospital area ? you'll pass through a tunnel. Shortly after the tunnel you'll see a sign to Montana. Follow the signs until you reach us.

A "different place" Engholm Husky Design Lodge is situated next to Karasjohka river, 6 km outside of Karasjok. The cosy log houses here at the lodge was built by Sven selves and has a special charm. Sven has made decorations and internal work in order to create a unique and personal atmosphere in each house.

Interesting "dogmusher library" in the main house. The wood heated sauna is very cosy, it has separate room for relaxing and is very popular. The ?Barta' ? a special turf covered log house where we gather around the open fire sitting on reindeer furs with special food and good drinks. We are licensed for food and beverage. Our farm consists of 40-50 highly trained sled dogs for long-distance racing and tours and ruff riding horses for summer enjoyment.
You may combine your stay with some activities and experience our area close up. You are welcome to join in our daily life on the farm. There is always a lot happening on our farm Sled dogs are in training, puppies are learning to socialize. Many interesting books can be read in the "Dogmusher library". Sauna or outdoor hut tub. The hostel is located at Rosenborg, a 15 minutes walk from downtown Trondheim. We are situated in quiet surroundings and with an excellent view of the town and the fjord. We offer budget accommodation in 1-6 bedded rooms with breakfast included. The hostel has over 200 beds and a total of 52 rooms. 12 rooms have shower and WC (call the hostel to order these).
The rest all have cold and hot running water. For these rooms the sanitary rooms are located in the corridor.

The hostel is beautifully situated by the lake Vangsvatnet, 800 m from the train and bus station in Voss. You can rent canoes, kayaks and bikes at the hostel, and you can book activities such as paragliding and kayak trips at our front desk. For cold winter evenings there is a room with a fireplace, and in the summer there is a nice veranda towards the lake to relax on. We also have our own sauna. We offer accommodation in 4/6-bedded rooms with own shower and toilet. The rooms can also be booked as double or single rooms. Bed linen is included in the rate from 2009. We only allow sleeping bags in our big summer dormitory. From June to end of August our Summer Café is open.
