Hostel Hullam with unique atmosphere in the just 100 years old, recently renovated building, stays in the heart of the town of Révfülöp. Révfülöp is situated on the north shore of the lake on the boundary of the Balaton-Highland National Park and the Kali Basin. You can see the whole lake from the tower on Fulop Hill. It is famous for its excellent wine, its sports events (for example swimming across Lake Balaton) beaches and ancient trees.

Our beautiful garden is the ideal site for parties, outdoor cooking and having fun. We will create/mix whatever you wish to have at the cocktail bar.

You can rent a bike at your disposal on the spot. The nearby Kali basin is a true Paradise for bike lovers with its beautiful surroundings and rare fauna. The lake is ideal for sailing, too. You can also go horse riding in the neighboring village of Kovágoors.

Hostel Hullam lies on Route 71, 165 kilometers westbound from Budapest, some 200 metres from the railway station and 100 meters from Lake Balaton. Regular transport is available to nearby towns and cities.
From Budapest by train:
Direct line from Budapest Deli Station every two hours - approx. 3 hours trip. Check out the timetable at elvira.hu. The fastest train (Tihany IC) usually starts at 17:10 from 'Deli' train station.
By car: 89 kms on M7 Highway from Budapest, then Route 71 via Balatonfüred - approx. two hours.
If you arrive to Sarmellek Airport then search the Fly Car Airport Transfer Company in the airport.. They can take you directly to the hostel or to Keszthely where regular transport is also available.

Pension Lorelei is located in Gyenesdias, at the northern shore of Lake Balaton, at the south-west foot of Keszthely Mountains. The main industry of Gyenesdias is the tourism. It offers all the joy of Lake Balaton and anyone interested in bathing, fishing and sailing or even hiking and horse riding can have a wonderful time here. The lovers of the water can choose between two beaches: the smaller one is perfect for the families with small children, and the bigger one is provided with a lot of services like restaurants, buffets, rentals, a volley-ball court and a giant indoor slide. Animators and artistic performers work during the summer on the bigger beaches.

Pension Lorelei offers double and triple rooms and 2 rooms for 4-4 persons (with 2 bedrooms). From Budapest:
M7 motorway till Siofok and then the road 7/71 to Keszthely and to Gyenesdias (1 km after Keszthely). If you are in Gyenesdiás by the round-about you have to go to the right into the Balaton-utca and after 900 meters you'll see the Lorelei B&B on the right side.
From the Station Deli or Keleti you take the Intercity till Keszthely. From there you take another train to "Gyenesdias-also", its only one stop.

From Vienna:
A2, A3 and road 84 through Sopron to lake Balaton, than road 71 towards Keszthely and through on road 71 up to Gyenesdias at the round-about (McDonalds^?) to the left into the Balaton-utca and then after 900 meters you'll see the Lorelei B&B on the right side.

From Balaton Airport:
Road 76 towards the Balaton then road 71 towards Keszthely and through on road 71 up to Gyenesdias. At the round-about (McDonalds^?) to then right into the Balaton-utca and then after 900 meters you'll see the Lorelei B&B on the right side.

Rooms:

1. Double room

We offer a beautiful, home-designed, colourful double-room with a TV set.
The room has a comfortable double bed, which can sleep two people.

The room can also be booked by small groups of 3 because there is an extra single bed on the loft. If the room is booked for 3, we charge an additional 50% of the original price per night. To book this room for three, just enter two people when you make your reservation and then write to us there will be three people sleeping in the room.

Mineral water or orange juice, snacks and fresh fruits are included in the
price.

2. 8-bed dorm (yellow room)
The dorm has a beautiful, individually designed loft. There is a TV set and DVD player in the dorm. WE RECOMMEND OUR 8-BED DORM FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE LESS BOTHERED BY TALK.

3. 4-bed room (brown room)
It is more like a private room for small groups, but individuals can also take this peaceful, quite and big room. It opens from the 8-bed room.

4. 5-bed room (green room)
Relaxed, huge room with heaps of space with a separate entrance.

5. There is a unique, homey and comfy common room for socializing and internet use.

All the rooms are equipped with furniture designed and redesigned by our staff!

Travel fare: you need to buy one section ticket which costs 130 HUF (0.50 EUR).
Duration of journey to the hostel: 5 minutes.

2. Keleti pályaudvar (Keleti Railway Station)

There are two options to approach us.

Option 1:

- Take metro 2 (M2, red line) and go to Deak tér. Change for M1 and go three stops and get off at Oktogon. WHEN YOU HAVE REACHED OKOTOGON, LOOK FOR BURGER KING. WE ARE 50 METRES FROM BURGER KING DOWN THE MAIN ROAD (TEREZ KORUT), BETWEEN 'MARATON' SPORTSWEAR STORE AND 'MILLENIUM' BOOKSHOP. LOOK FOR NUMBER 22. You will find a small sign right above the bells. Option 2:

- Take M2 to Blaha Lujza tér (one stop). When you walk out of the subway, look for direction 'Margit híd'. Take tram 4 or 6. Go three stops towards the direction of 'Margit híd'. The third stop is Oktogon. WHEN YOU HAVE REACHED OKOTOGON, LOOK FOR BURGER KING. Ferihegyi repül?tér (Ferihegy Airport - Terminal 1 and 2):

Option 1: public transportation:

- Take the bus no 200 in front of the airport gate and get off at the terminal (Kõbánya-Kispest, a building complex with a futuristic design).
- Take M3 and go to Deák tér, where the three metro lines intersect.
- Change for M1 and travel three stops towards the direction of Mexikói út: now you are at Oktogon. WHEN YOU HAVE REACHED OKOTOGON, LOOK FOR BURGER KING. WE ARE 50 METRES FROM BURGER KING DOWN THE MAIN ROAD (TEREZ KORUT), BETWEEN 'MARATON' SPORTSWEAR STORE AND 'MILLENIUM' BOOKSHOP. LOOK FOR NUMBER 22. You will find a small sign right above the bells. Walk into the court yard through the entrance gate, walk 5 metres and then turn right. Walk up the stairs and then up the stairs again to the first floor and then turn right.

Travel fare: you need to buy a bus ticket (at the driver's) for 200 HUF (0.70 EUR) + two section tickets at K?bánya-Kispest for 260 HUF (1.10 EUR): Important notice: make sure that when you have come out of the airport, you buy your ticket either from a machine or on the bus before you board. If you buy your ticket when boarding the bus, try to have some change in advance because the driver may not be able to refund you. If you do not buy a ticket and get caught, the fine you have to buy on the spot is about 5.000 HUF (18 EUR). Make sure you do not pay more for a fine.
Duration: 60-75 minutes

Option 2: Taxi

You can find various taxi companies in front of the arrival hall.

Travel fare: fares range between 3, 900 HUF and 4, 200 HUF (15-16 EUR). If you want a taxi to be arranged for you, please let us know two days in advance.
Duration of journey: 30-45 minutes.

Option 3: Airport Shuttle Bus

Once you have gone through the customs, look for ?Airport Minibus? signs. Sign up for the traveler list. You need to pay at the customer desk.

Travel fare: 2300 HUF (9 EUR). If you want a shuttle bus to be arranged for you, please let us know two days in advance.
Duration of journey: 30-45 minutes.
Coach

Népligeti Nemzetközi Buszállomás (Népliget International Coach Station)

International coaches arrive at the Népliget Buszállomás. All the best, take M3 and travel towards the direction of ?Újpest Városközpont?. Get off at Deák tér. Change for M1 and go three stops towards the direction of Mexikói út and get off at Oktogon. WHEN YOU HAVE REACHED OKOTOGON, LOOK FOR BURGER KING. From NYUGATI train station, and NEPLIGET (international bus terminal) go downstairs to the metro station and take the metro to KALVIN TER station. There go above ground to the tram terminal (directly above the metro) and catch ANY tram (47 or 49), take the tram 1 stop towards the bridge and the Danube River to FOVAM TER (or alternatively just walk the 200 metres between the two stops). As you get off the tram you will see a small green area with an asphalt path going through the middle of it. Just walk the 20 meters down the path and you will come to the beginning of Molnar utca (parallel to the riverfront). If you`re arriving by train please be prepared to meet some hustlers at the railway stations (and on the trains from Vienna). Airport Minibus costs 2500 huf/person, but if you are more then two people, it worth to take a taxi. A lift to Mandragora Doubles costs 4100 huf.
Note, if you just take a taxi in the street, it can be much more expensive. Always ask the driver to use the meter.
From Nyugati railway station take tram 4 or 6 (direction Blaha Lujza) and get off at the fourth stop.
If you prefer to make the distance by foot, just keep walking to the left on the main street until the first underpass (cca 25 minutes). Cross Rákóczi street and ring the doorbell.

From Keleti railway station take bus 7 or metro (red line) to Blaha Lujza square, which is one stop away.
It is only 10 minutes by walk, if you do not mind the high traffic on Rákóczi street. Just straight from the station, running through horning cars, or (recommended) finding your way in the underpass-maze. Keep walking on the left until "Blaha Lujza tér", turn left, first door on the left.

From Népliget bus station take the metro (blue line) to Ferenc körút and change to tram 4 or 6 getting of at Blaha Lujza square.

The building is on the corner of József körút and Rákóczi út, with a "Stella Artois" sign on the top. There is a pharmacy downstairs.

When you are coming by train
We have three main train stations called Keleti, Nyugati and Déli.

From Keleti trainstation we are about 15-20 minutes walk:
Get off your train and turn towards the end of the platforms. Go straight ahead, walk downstairs as far as the square. Search for the passage on the right side of the metro entrance, then walk along on it; at the end turn to the left and exit on the stairs to the right. Now you should be on the left side of Rákóczi Street, on the other side there should be Grand Hotel Hungária. Walk towards until the next main street, where the tramlines are, and a square called ?Blaha Lujza tér'. Turn to the left (to the József krt.) and go straight ahead and you'll see a McDonalds^?. Across the street on the crosswalk, continue your way along with the tramlines. Keep walking two more blocks and turn to the right in the street called ?Kölcsey'. As a checkpoint you will find a pub at this corner. Pass through Kölcsey Street, up to Gutenberg square, and straight to the street ahead.

From Nyugati we are about 10 minutes by tram:
At the exit of the train station you'll find a tram stop, choose that direction which is opposite to the overpass. On the sign you can see ?Móricz Zsigmond körtér felé'. Available trams are #4 or #6. You can use both to get to our hostel. Take the first tram from this stop, and make sure you punch your ticket. Get off at the 5th stop, which is called ?Rákóczi tér'. Across the crosswalk you will see the Kölcsey Street. Walk along, as far as Gutenberg Square and straight to the street ahead.

From Déli trainstation we are about 10 minutes by metro & a little walk:
At the train station you'll find the metro entrance one level below. Buy a single ride ticket from the cashier and validate it before the escalator and take a metro. This is the terminal, so there is only one direction. Get off at Astoria (5 stops), then turn to the left when you reach the underground, then upstairs straight ahead exit. Now you should be on Múzeum krt., opposite of you there is a Burger King. Keep walking forward until the first corner to the left, where there is the green fence of the National Museum. Now you should be on Bródy Street.

Please keep in mind that you have to use a ticket or pass to use public transportation. Tickets are available at yellow ticket-machines, newspaper-stores and metro offices. One single ticket costs 120HUF(0.5EUR). Those who don't use tickets can be fined by 1600HUF(6, 2EUR).

2. When you are coming by bus

From the International Coach Terminal 'Népliget' you can get into our hostel within 20 minutes by metro and an easy walk.

Please keep in mind that you have to use a ticket or pass to use public transportation. Tickets are available at yellow ticket-machines, newspaper-stores and metro offices. One single ticket costs 125HUF(0.5EUR). Those who don't use tickets can be fined by 1600HUF(6, 2EUR).

From the bus terminal you can get to the metro through the underpass. Choose the one in direction to 'Újpest-Központ'. Get off at 'Kálvin tér' which is the 4th stop, then turn left right after the escalator. Walk straight ahead, then choose the left exit to upstairs (Múzeum krt.). Keep walking ahead, then turn to the right after the National Museum's garden (2nd corner to right).

3. If you would come by plane

Please contact the hostel if you need to be collected from the airport.

If you want to make your own way to get to the hostel, we would recommend you three other options from the airport, which is taxi, the airport-minibus service or public transportation.

Present days the cost of airport-minibus is 2300HUF(9EUR)/person for one way, which is worth if you have lots of luggage and you travel alone. Otherwise an official taxi can be cheaper, as they have fixed fares from the airport, and the taxi goes to one address, while the minibus delivers several passengers. If I convinced you about the comforts of use a taxi, please read the advices below about taxies.

By public transportation we are about an hour using the airport-bus and metro from the airport.

Please keep in mind that you have to use a ticket or pass to use the public transportation. Tickets are available at yellow ticket-machines, newspaper-stores and metro offices. One single ticket costs 185HUF(0.75EUR). Those who don't use tickets can be punished by 2000HUF(8EUR).

Between the terminal 2 and 2A, there is a bus stop for the Airport-Bus, which is a service of the Budapest Transport Company known as BKV.
It is a public vehicle, so you should punch a ticket for using this transportation.
Tickets are available at newspaper-stores, metro stations, ticket-machines from the street and from the bus-driver in cases.

If you buy a ticket from the driver, please check if it wasn't validated before.
After getting on the bus please ensure you've punched your ticket, so you won't be fined. Ride on the bus until it lasts, then you'll be on 'Kõbánya-Kispest'.
Validate a new ticket again, then take a metro until 'Kálvin tér' (8th stop), then turn left right after the escalator. Walk straight ahead, then choose the left exit to upstairs (Múzeum krt.). Keep walking ahead, and then turn to the right after the National Museum's garden (2nd corner to right).
Now you should be on Bródy street.

4. Whenever you want to take a taxi

Usually the taxies are not expensive, if I talk about the large companies. But you should definitely avoid private cabs, they are 'official pickpockets', they can ask horrible amounts for few kilometers. Usually it is cheaper if you call one by phone. Every taxi should have a fare list on the rear window.

Take your 3 rd right into Szövetség utca, carry straight on at the crossroads and the Red Bus II is halfway up your right at number 35, opposite Tivadar utca . Ataxi should cost no ore than 1200HUF.
FROM NYUGATI TRAIN STATION Exit the main entrance of Nyugati Station onto the main street, look to your right and you will see a blue M sign .
Go down the subway and buy a ticket (185 ft Vonaljegy), it is best to write this down as they won?t speak any English.
Once you have bought your ticket go back up to the main entrance of Nyugati Station and jump on tram 4 or 6, heading towards Móricz Zsigmond körtér , not towards the big fly over in the distance. Be sure to stamp your ticket once on the tram. Get off the tram at the 3rd stop Wesselényi utca .
Turn right into Wesselényi utca (Spar Supermarket on corner) and 4th right into Szövetség utca, Red Bus II is halfway up on yor right opposite Tivadar utca . A taxi should cost no more than 1700HUF.
FROM DELI TRAIN STATION From Déli Station follow the red M sign to Déli metro station.
At the metro station go to the Pénztár window, you have to buy a ticket (185 ft Vonaljegy), it is best to write this down as they won?t speak any English. Be sure to stamp your ticket in the orange boxes at the top of the escalators.
Jump on a train heading towards Örs vezér tere and get off at the 6th stop Blaha Lujza tér . When you exit Blaha Lujza tér metro sation, follow the exit signs for Erzsébet körút.
Walk up Erzsébet körút for 100 meters and take your 1st right into Dohány utca , and take your 4th left into Szövetség utca. Red Bus II is halfway up on yor right opposite Tivadar utca . A taxi should cost no more than 3500HUF.

Debrecen is the second most popular town in Hungary and is the cultural, scientific and commercial centre of Eastern-Hungary. The "Grand Church" (Nagytemplom), the largest Calvinist church in the country, has become the symbol of Debrecen, which is also known as the "Calvinist Rome.

It was in Debrecen that Kossuth Lajos declared the end of the Habsburg rule in Hungary in April 1849. The Calvinist College has an illustrious history serving education, literature and science in Hungary for more than 450 years. Of the numerous places of interest in Debrecen, one is the Déri Museum, where as well as other interesting exhibitions, the Christ Trilogy of the well-known Hungarian painter, Munkácsy Mihály can be seen. Those who like folk art should visit the so-called Tímárház (Tanner's House).

In 2001, the main street of Debrecen was completely renewed: the whole area became a pedestrian zone. The parade, whose beauty is accented by a fountain, is a place for various art, classical and pop music events and cultural and leisure programmers. The brand new aqua park of Debrecen was opened to the public in 2003 and welcomes those who wish to have high-quality services. It is just a ten-minute walk from our guest-house.

The Spring Festival, the Bartók Béla International Choir Festival, the Flower Carnival, the Jazz Days and the courses of the Summer University are some of those events and programs that attract many visitors. The Phoenix Hall was also opened to the public in 2003; here many national and international events are organized. The Hortobágy National Park, located only 35 km from Debrecen, is another pride of Hungary. Visitors can meet the horse-herds, taste the Goulash soup and get acquainted with the typical Hungarian species on the famous "puszta" like puli and the domestic grey cattle. It is also very rich in birds. The main events are the Riders' Days and the Bridge Fair.
