Bath has often been called the most beautiful city in England and with just one look at the rolling green hills and stunning Bath Stone Georgian-style buildings and the awe inspiring Bath Abbey it would be hard for anyone to disagree.
In the heart of it all is where you'll find St. Christopher's Bath youth hostel near Stonehenge. From here you'll be mere minutes away from the grandeur of the Bath Abbey, the history of the Royal Crescent and more than its fair share of shops, boutiques, restaurants, pubs, and beer gardens.
In addition to the assortment of goodies you have waiting for you right outside your door, Bath is also an excellent base to explore the quaint, traditional English villages that make up the Cotswold or the mystical and mysterious monument that is Stonehenge. Visiting Stonehenge has always been an experience as you marvel at the sheer magnitude of these great stones and join the debate as to why they're there.

Highly recommended by all major travel guides.
LONELY PLANET "This excellent hostel, basically a series of rooms in the out buildings of a Georgian home around a central court yard, has one large comfortable dorm a single/twin and two doubles all en suite. It also has net access. Highly recommended.
THE ROUGH GUIDE "Not so much a backpackers (though there is a six bed dorm, beds £14.95) as a self styled superior budget bed and breakfast. The rambling place (part was once a shoe factory) has simple but smartly decorated en suite rooms available as single/twin/double and triple, one with a gallery, another with a private kitchen, all very tastefully done. There's a fully equipped kitchen/lounge plus internet access. Prices include continental breakfast"
We have single, twin, triple, double, family and dorm accommodation including continental breakfast.
Cook up something in our self catering kitchen.
Relax and watch TV in the common room.
Pop over to Barrels Alehouse its just across the road - and enjoy some local hospitality.
Check out The Green Shop for all your organic and environmentally friendly needs.
If you're on your bike, Brilliant Bicycles is just along the street for running repairs and accessories.
Berwick is the perfect location for the budget traveller.
Leave the city behind because there's loads to do around Berwick on Tweed and North Northumberland.
Take a walk around the Elizabethan town walls and admire the views south to the holy Island of Lindisfarne and beyond to the Farne Islands. If that all sounds to much like hard work there's plenty of easy costal and river walks close by the hostel.
Check in is by appointment only

Whether your passion is for entertainment and excitement or long stretches of golden sands and fine dining, Blackpool can satisfy. The epitome of British seaside resorts, Blackpool remains the country?s favourite destination. There are so many reasons why Blackpool is as popular now as it always has been, aside from the nostalgia. The resort has retained a traditional feel to it. Ther it falls on a Saturday or a week day (ie) Sunday to Thursday. e trams still run as they always have and it is like stepping back in time especially when taking a ride in a horse drawn carriage or on the beach with the donkeys and the children enjoying the friendly atmosphere. There is a blending of the old with the new on the three piers graced by modern entertainers such as bungy jumping, reverse bungy jumping and sky coasting.
Enjoy Tribute and rock bands, the punk festival on 7th-10th August(book early for this one as it gets very busy) and the Wurlitzer still plays at The Tower Ballroom where the dancing competitions are held, and if you enjoy ballroom dancing you can go to an afternoon tea dance which is just nearby in the most opulent of surroundings, or you could go up to the top of the tower and look out through the glass bottom over Blackpool. The huge ?Big Wheel? still thrills families as does its neighbouring state-of-the-art white knuckle rides; Blackpool is a melting pot and it does it well.
